Vertical Construction Continues at 333 Downtown

Jeff Green's One West Palm Makes Progress


One West Palm, the $250-Million project backed by billionaire Jeff Green, has recently been approved by the city. The pair of 30-story towers designed by Arquitectonica of Miami are slate to become the city's tallest. Located at 550 Quadrille Blvd, one tower will house 340,000 square feet of Class A office space, while the other will contain a 209 room 5-star hotel with 84 high-end condos or rentals above that. The building will have a 34,000 square foot fitness center complete with indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Additionally,The building will contain street level shopping as well as a top floor restaurant and bar.

Greene, who has bought up a numerous properties around West Palm, has stated that this project is his top priority. Greene hopes to break ground on the towers within the next 3 to 6 months and to complete the project with in 2 years.

Concrete Poured for Brightline Maintenance Facility

The first batch of concrete was poured on Monday for the Brightline's maintenance facility north of Palm Beach Lakes Rd.

Old City Hall to be Torn Down; Replaced with Hotel, Shops, Resturants, Apartments

Tuesday, the city commission gave final approval over the sale of the old City Hall located at 200 Second Street for $11.5 Million.The deal is scheduled to close July of 2017 so it may be a while before we see any real movement on this project.

 


Second Crane Goes up at 333 Downtown

A second crane is being erected at the 333 Downtown construction site as vertical cosntruction begins to ramp up. The apartment building, formerly know as the Isis is located at 333 Fern Street.

The site already has one crane in its northwest corner and a number of vertical columns have already been poured. 

Giant Concrete Pad Poured at West Palm Beach Birghtline Station


The pad was poured on the site of what will eventually become the new 275-unit, 23-story apartment building planned on the corner of Evernia and Rosemary. The pad may be used as a staging area for the Brightline station before construction on the tower begins.

There are a lot of interesting changes going on around downtown West Palm Beach. Living downtown, I get to see the progress, or lack there of every day as I step out my door. I have always been fascinated with urban development and construction and this is how I have decided to compile all the new developments going on around downtown.
